Sanlu/Fonterra Tainted Milk Powder Victims Multiply

At least 6,200 infants across the country are known to have developed kidney stones after consuming Sanlu’s melamine-tainted baby formula, and three have died, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.

Ji Chuntang, the mayor of Shijiazhuang, capital of north China’s Hebei Province, was dismissed on Thursday over a tainted milk powder scandal, after he was relieve of his duties as vice secretary of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) yesterday. (Source)

The Big Guns at CPC who are responsible for the extent of government corruption in China escape punishment, once again.

Fonterra, the New Zealand partner of Sanlu in their joint venture milk powder operations,  will also evade prosecution and, in all likelihood, would not have to pay a penny in compensation to its Chinese victims.

Protecting the Crown’s Extrafinancial Investments in Afghanistan?

Posted by terres on September 12, 2008

submitted by a NZ reader:

Heaven knows what the New Zealand SAS are doing in Afghanistan

The British journalist Robert Fisk visiting New Zealand this week to promote his new book spoke to a local journalist in Wellington about western military presence in Middle East:

Concerning New Zealand’s special forces, who are based in Afghanistan, he said:

“Heaven knows what they (the SAS) are doing and Afghanistan is a disaster anyway.”

He said New Zealand was under no threat from any country in the Middle East.

“There are no Syrian soldiers on the streets of Wellington.

“(Western nations) have no business to be there, historically it is a disaster. We never have any business there, we’re always going to the Middle East with huge armies.

The morally castrated New Zealand “Defence Minister”, Phil Goff, immediately declared: “I’d say Mr Fisk should talk to the Hazara people whose civic leaders were executed in the market place, whose 2000-year-old cultural heritage, the Bamyan statutes of Buddha, were destroyed.”

Ah, so the New Zealand SAS are not there to protect the poppy fields and the thriving opium business and the drug warlords, they are there playing Bamyan Buddha dolls with the local kids!

The following is an excerpt from The SAS (SPECIAL AIR SERVICE): Prince Philip’s manager of terrorism,  by Joseph Brewda.

SAS methods and procedures

According to the British Army handbook, the SAS is “particularly suited, trained, and equipped for counter-revolutionary operations,” with a specialization in “infiltration,” “sabotage,” “assassination,” as well as “liaison with, organization, training, and control of friendly guerrilla forces operating against the common enemy.” From its inception in World War II, Special Air Services was detailed to run sabotage behind enemy lines and to organize popular revolt, at first in North Africa, and then in the Balkans, where another Stirling cousin, Fitzroy Maclean, ran British operations.

At the end of the war, SAS was disbanded, but it was soon revived to crush the Malay insurgency in Malaysia, and the Mau Mau insurgency in Kenya. The principle employed was to take over the insurgency from within, and use it to destroy the native population. In his 1960 book Gangs and Countergangs, Col. Frank Kitson boasted that the British were covertly leading several large-scale Mau Mau units, and that many, if not all Mau Mau units had been synthetically created by the colonial authorities. As a result of this practice, 22 whites were killed during the insurgency, as compared to 20,000 natives.

Based on this principle, SAS emphasized recruitment of natives, as it received increasing responsibilities for overseeing counterinsurgency within the postwar empire, as well as organizing insurgencies elsewhere. In New Zealand, 30% of SAS was drawn from the indigenous Maori tribes, later supplemented by Sarawak tribesmen from Indonesia. By the 1960s, New Zealand SAS was active throughout Southeast Asia, organizing tribal revolts against the Burmese government, and stirring similar movements in Northeast India. Similarly, SAS squadrons based in Rhodesia ran the 1960s tribal separatist insurgency in Zaire. They later recruited and deployed natives in terrorist raids in Mozambique and Zambia.

Today, there are three known SAS regiments, comprising 4,500 highly trained commandos in total. Training exercises for 15-man teams simulate terrorist assaults, in order, it is said, to “know the mind of the terrorist.” Such teams are often sent abroad, to train British Commonwealth and other military units in the techniques of terrorist assault, as well as the use of tribal auxiliaries in covert warfare. Through such means, SAS has built an extensive terrorist control capability, especially in its former colonies. Its soldiers currently serve officially in some 30 countries.  Full article is available here.

Afghanistan, Opium and the Taliban

JALALABAD, Afghanistan (February 15, 2001 8:19 p.m. EST)
(Source)
U.N. drug control officers said the Taliban religious militia has nearly wiped out opium production in Afghanistan — once the world’s largest producer — since banning poppy cultivation last summer.

A 12-member team from the U.N. Drug Control Program spent two weeks searching most of the nation’s largest opium-producing areas and found so few poppies that they do not expect any opium to come out of Afghanistan this year.

“We are not just guessing. We have seen the proof in the fields,” said Bernard Frahi, regional director for the U.N. program in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He laid out photographs of vast tracts of land cultivated with wheat alongside pictures of the same fields taken a year earlier — a sea of blood-red poppies. (Full report)

End of Taliban will bring rise in heroin

By Richard Lloyd Parry in Islamabad
The Independent (Source)
Date: 19 October 2001

The defeat of the Taliban would result in a surge in opium production, which has beenvirtually halted in Afghanistan by the Kabul regime over the last year, United Nations officials have warned.

A new UN survey reveals that the Taliban have completed one of the quickest and most successful drug elimination programmes in history.

Vice creeps back to Kandahar. Ellen Knickmeyer, Associated Press – (Source) Image may be subject to copyright.

The area of land given over to growing opium poppies in 2001 fell by 91 per cent compared with the year before, according to the UN Drug Control Programme’s (UNDCP) annual survey of Afghanistan. Production of fresh opium, the raw material for heroin, went down by an unprecedented 94 per cent, from 3,276 tonnes to 185 tonnes.

Almost all Afghan opium this year came out of territories controlled by America’s ally in the assault on Afghanistan, the Northern Alliance. Because of a ban on poppy farming, only one in 25 of Afghanistan’s opium poppies was being grown in Taliban areas. (Full story)

Fisk on Israel-led US Foreign policy:

Having studied for 30 years the United States’ Middle East policies, I can tell you that regardless of whether Barack Obama or John McCain won the upcoming American presidential election, the new president would not bring peace to the area, Fisk said.

“Every time there’s an American presidential election the Arabs say `Ah, maybe there’ll be change in the Middle East. Maybe America will be fairer, maybe it will concern itself with the security of the Arabs as well as the Israelis’.

“And then afterwards there’ll be a war in the Middle East and the President will call upon both sides to exercise restraint and there’ll be billions of dollars of weapons sent to Israel to bomb Lebanon, or whoever they are bombing.

“My experience over 32 years is whoever’s in the White House, the bombs go on falling. And they will.”

An Internet pedophile network uncovered in Switzerland

Posted by terres on September 4, 2008

600 Germans implicated in Swiss pedophile network: Swiss Authorities

Agence France-Presse

GENEVA — Six hundred Germans are suspected of involvement in an Internet pedophile network uncovered in Switzerland, where four men have already been arrested over the affair, judicial authorities said Wednesday.

Forty Austrian men are also involved, judicial authorities in the northeastern Swiss canton of St. Gallen said.

Four Swiss men have been arrested for “acts of a sexual nature” against children, and for producing pornographic films and images involving young girls.

Legal proceedings have also been launched against another nine Swiss men aged between 20 and 65.

Two of the men are accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl and posting images of the abuse on the Internet forum.

[Why is this girl being taken away?] “A girl waves goodbye to her parents as she is airlifted out of the earthquake-hit city of Wenchuan, Sichuan province May 22, 2008. REUTERS/Reinhard Krause (CHINA)” (Image may be subject to copyright. See Fair Use Notice!)

The homes of the 13 men have been searched by police, and computer hard-drives and other equipment have been confiscated.

Austrian police said Wednesday they had opened a case against 15 men between 30 and 60 years old following the break-up of the pedophile network.

Police spokesman Helmut Greiner said Swiss authorities had sent the IP addresses of 35 Austrians to their colleagues in Vienna in connection with the probe in Switzerland.

Cyber-crime investigators uncovered the network which was hosted by a St. Gallen-based Internet service provider.

Investigating magistrate Ursula Brasey told Swiss news agency ATS that the head of the ISP had alerted the authorities to the content of the site, and would not face any charges.

The German-language forum featured accounts from different men about their experiences with young girls and how best to ‘groom’ them for pornographic ends, the authorities said.

Vermin!

Posted by terres on June 28, 2008

Where is Amnesty International and all other so-called human rights [sic] organizations when people really need them?

Vermin” was how Mr Charles Falwasser’s, the father of NZ police brutality victim, called the four police officers who repeatedly assaulted his defenseless teenage son with batons and pepper spray in a police cell.

“Delighted” was how the thugs’ racist lawyer Susan Hughes, QC, described the feeling of her depraved clients. “There was only ever going to be one verdict and this was it,” she said.

It proves we live in a black-and-white world,” said, Kihi, mother of the victim, as she condemned the racist justice system: “We are absolutely shocked and devastated by the decision but we’re not surprised. We had a white jury in there.”

“Murderers” and “Pigs,” were how the victim’s brother, Tawhiao, described the racist scumbags.

The gang of four paramilitary thugs [policemen] were acquitted of all charges by an all white jury (surprise, surprise!). (Source: 3News) Image may be subject to copyright. See RTSF Fair Use Notice!

Tawera Falwasser said when he visited the police station and asked how his brother’s head had been split, the answer from a smiling Senior Constable Bruce Laing was “with a baton.” [That demands a punishment with a baton!]

The victim, Mr Falwasser, said he feared for his life and wrote “Jesus” in his blood on the cell walls to attract attention.

He suffered a five-centimeter gash on his head, a 6½-centimeter cut on his arm and bruising on his arms and legs from batons. He now suffered from post-traumatic stress.

The racist judge, Patrick Treston, declined media applications to publish police station CCTV footage of the assault. (Source)

Bigger China Disaster Unfolds

Posted by terres on May 22, 2008

We all know that earthquakes are natural disasters. But what happened to our children also has human causes, and they’re even more frightening. —A grieved parent who lost his son.

Zhao Deqin Lost Her 15-year-old Twins, Yajia and Yaqi

JUYUAN, China (Reuters) – Zhao Deqin keeps a kerbside memorial to her twin daughters killed when their school collapsed in China’s earthquake, and a petition-signing site alongside that has become a focus of protest by grieving parents.

The most lamented victims of the quake that shattered parts of Sichuan province in southwest China eight days ago have been the thousands of children killed when school buildings collapsed.

Earthquake survivor, Zhao Deqian, the mother of twins Zhao Yajia and Zhao Yaqi, 15, who were killed when their school building collapsed in the earthquake, cries at their memorial altar in the town of Juyuan in the quake-hit area of Dujiangyan, Sichuan province, May 20, 2008. REUTERS/Nicky Loh (Image may be subject to copyright. See RTSF Fair Use Notice!)

As the ruling Communist Party seeks to maintain a staunch front of unity and stability after the quake, the incipient protests by parents could be troublesome, for many of them blame official graft and laxity, more than nature, for the deaths.

“How come all the houses didn’t fall down, but the school did? And how come that happened in so many places?” Asked Zhao.

“This was a tofu dregs project and the government should assume responsibility,” said Pu Changxue, whose son Pu Tong died in a classroom.

“To think that I lived and they died,” said an old woman living opposite Zhao’s shrine. “That is just too unfair.” (Source)

Chinese Leaders Incapable of Handling Quake Aftermath

Posted by terres on May 16, 2008

Clueless Wen Jiabao: Criminally Incompetent!

To climb a tree to catch a fish is talking much and doing nothing.” —Chinese Proverb

Wen Jiaboa, like the rest of the ruling gang in China is a criminally incompetent leader, incapable of protecting the interest of the Chinese people.

“Wen, seen repeatedly on state TV cradling infants and offering hope to earthquake victims, hailed the ‘order the country has maintained for the past 80 hours,’ the report said.”

What if the order does break up? Will the ruling criminal regime send in the special forces to do a Tiananmen Square job?

In the mind of Wen Jiaboa the Olympics comes first, disaster victims second! [Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrives in Yingxiu Town, the quake epicenter in Wenchuan County of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, May 14, 2008. (Xinhua Photo and caption). Image may be subject to copyright. See RTSF Fair Use Notice!

  • Premier Wen Jiabao and rest of the Ruling Gang in China (RGC) criminally underestimated the extent of the disaster.
  • Premier Wen and rest of the RGC delayed sending in the rescue troops in the early, crucial hours after the quake had struck.
  • Premier Wen Jiabao and rest of the RGC accepted a miserly ¥500million ($5m) from the government of Japan, which is probably more of an insult to the people of China than an offer of financial aid for disaster relief.
  • By accepting Japanese rescue troops (rather than teams from all other nations), a direct insult to the people of China, Premier WenJiabao and rest of the RGC proved their leadership skills are fatally flawed and that their personal interests supersede the national interest, the welfare of their 1.3billion subjects.
  • Premier Wen Jiabao and rest of the RGC are incapable of protecting the interest of Chinese people!

[ Note, the Ruling Gang in China (RGC) thought no one was watching! They lied even about the quake magnitude. The mainshock was recorded as a 7.9 magnitude earthquake by USGS, but the Chinese authorities reported it as 7.8 Mw.]

A rescuer from Japan receives an interview after arriving at Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, on May 16, 2008. A Japanese rescue team arrive in the quake-hit Sichuan Province in southwest China early on Friday to assist local disaster relief efforts. Hep C Victims: Still NO Compensation

Hepatitis C Blood Transfusion Victims Still Awaiting Compensation

Some of the 486 victims who have applied for one-off payments including 25 victims with haemophilia are prevented from receiving compensation and cannot start treatment for hepatitis C, The Press newspaper reports.

Hepatitis C is a liver-attacking virus that can cause cirrhosis and cancer.

“The victims were among 55 haemophiliacs and 215 clients who signed up for a class action to sue the Government for failing to introduce national screening earlier.”

Unsurprisingly, the action against government never went ahead [action was sabotaged by the lawyers’ flank of the establishment.] However, the lawyers still demand the fees (about NZ$20,000 per person) that were agreed when the civil suit was being planned. Report
